IN ORDER TO PASS THE IM CLERKSHIP, ALL OF THESE ASSIGNMENTS MUST BE COMPLETED

  • One full H&P on admission days during Med I.  Two full H&P on admission day during Med II.

       Due at the end of clerkship.  Minimum of one required per rotation during IM portion of your clerkship; two suggested (as a             tool for you to improve your experience).  Requested at the end of each block on medicine.  

  • EBM assignment: (due once during med 1 and once during med 2)

       Complete one clinical query using Qualtrics survey to answer your own or team's clinical question. Feedback will be given to y.         you by librarians. [Physician as Scientist]

       Due at the end of the clerkship.  Students need to access Aquifer cases if there are any gaps in learning/managing the 16 core         topics on the Patient Log. Students are encouraged to do more Aquifer cases than just the     

       minimum needed to complete your log.  Students must also update completed EPAs and Aquifer High Stakes Cases.

        Taken the last week of your second medicine rotation.  An email will be sent with instructions. 

 

  • Clinical Reasoning Exam:

        Taken during postcede via Zoom.

  • EPA Requirements on Qualtrics: Click Here (due for Med I and Med II) 

  • Ward-Based End of Life Care Assignment: Students have been instructed about the End of Life Care Assignment, which can be completed in any clerkship.

       Summary of steps for the exercise below:Identify a suitable patient and review chart.

  1. Speak to the patient and family (if appropriate) with EOL agenda in mind.

  2. Speak to the nurses, house staff and/or attending caring for the patient.

  3. Complete a 1-2-page report for your portfolio.

  4. Attend EOL conference (last Thursday of Psychiatry Clerkship)

  5. Prepare to briefly present your patient, report on 2 EOL issues/challenges in your case and reflect on your experience
